While busily responding to calls and emails on the second day of Open Enrollment under the Affordable Care Act, our own Jon Katz was surprised to get a call from National Public Radio (NPR) Senior Reporter, Dan Gorenstein.
Seems Mr. Gorenstein wanted to get Jon’s take on the insurance broker’s role in health care reform. The interview ran on NPR’s show, Marketplace, on Wednesday, October 2.
Click on the microphone to hear what Jon had to say! (To skip the music intro, go to the 20 second mark.)
If you are one of the many who have either been unable to get onto an exchange site, or got on but now are confused as to the best solution, give us a call or send us an email. We can help! You can also visit our website to get a free quote.
Always a pleasure seeing and hearing you talking insurance! Obamacare at its best has begun and in Ct. At least we got both our exchanges up and running by a little after noontime! Still very cumbersome and ridiculously long to complete an app, but what I’m most interested in finding out, are the off exchange plans and rates to see where everything will fall come 1-1-2014! Also, does your exchange or the actual carriers , like Anthem , give you access or link to their network? Or even tell people that they’re not even using the same networks they currently use? Or tell people how different the formularies are from their current ones? Seems to be a misleading to a novice consumer who wouldn’t even know what to ask , other than , how much!!! Anyway, curious to hear your take down in your world in Va and Maryland. Hope all is well with you. Have a good night.
Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the kind words Alan, your Connecticut clients are fortunate to have your guidance with these changes!! Please give me a call when you can to catch up.
