About Cigna Health Insurance
Cigna is a new entrant in the non-group health insurance market in Virginia for 2017, and will be offering bronze and sliver plans.
If you live in certain counties of Virginia*, you can enroll in a Cigna health plan. You will have coverage when you visit a provider who participates in Cigna’s Virginia – Connect Network. You must select an in-network primary care physician (PCP), and referrals are required to visit a specialist.
Out-of-network care is not covered, except in the event of a true emergency. Therefore, we encourage you to verify that your doctor, pharmacy, hospital or other medical provider is in-network with Cigna before receiving care.
If you are eligible for a subsidy to help pay for health insurance, you can buy a Cigna plan through the exchange. Click here to find out if you may qualify for a subsidy in 2017.
